The Poet Who Inspires People With His Words

 David Malin 1957- 2018

Publisher by Outside Voices

David Malin was a child prodigy who began writing poetry at the age of six. He studied English literature at Cambridge University. His poetry evokes the spirit of both the Beat Poetry Movement and the great British tradition of Romantic Poetry, following in the footsteps of William Blake. David was an experienced actor, artist, scholar and writer.

Instead of seeking fame, he devoted his formative years to teaching and inspiring young people with the beauty of words and sharing his love of language with them.

His work includes three iconic poems about London and Britain, including Hymn To Britain and London Armageddon. David’s work also consists of an exquisite love poem And God Created Woman, reflecting our innermost longings and search for the Sublime.

David struggled with a mental illness and found writing poetry particularly therapeutic. He used to recite his poems to raise awareness of mental health. David had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to share his jokes with others and make people laugh.

David passed away in 2018 but his words continue to resonate and inspire. His legacy continues through his work and his poetry.
